Product Updates

eCMS Product Update

This quarter we provided an overview video and some updates about eCMS One, the next generation of construction cloud ERP from CGC.

In collaboration with CGC’s parent company, the JDM Technology Group, CGC is developing eCMS One. eCMS One is a new ERP solution specifically designed for the construction industry with cutting-edge technology platform and functionality. This brief video provides you with a high-level overview of eCMS One and CGC’s plans for our valued clients.

2024 Year-End Processing Updates

2024 Year-End Processing Webinar Recordings and User Guides 

For year 2024 only a presentation for changes for Year-End Processing will be recorded. These webinar recordings, webinar presentation files, and updated user guides can be located on the Knowledge Center  under the eCMS Quarter-End and Year-End section. Year 2022 webinar recording, webinar presentation file and user guides both for US and Canada are available now for review and will be used as the bases for YE Processing documentation. Customers may also want to review the 2023 YE Processing changes for US and Canada.

2024 Year-End Processing eCMS Update 

The 2024 Year-End Processing eCMS Update for United States ONLY will be released in two parts:

  • Part 1 is the Q44 Update (includes eForms Changes for 1099 printing)
  • Part 2 is the Q45 Update (includes electronic filing changes)
  • The Q44 Update (GA) is currently being installed at customer sites.
  • The Q45 Update (GA) is currently being installed at customer sites.

The 2024 Year-End Processing eCMS Update for Canada ONLY  (Q46) will be released the week of January 6th, 2025.

2024 Year-End Processing Release Notes

  • The 2024 Year-End Processing Release Notes Q44 (Part 1) for US ONLY are available can be located on the Knowledge Center  under the eCMS Quarter-End and Year-End section.
  • The 2024 Year-End Processing Release Notes Q45 (Part 2) for US ONLY are available can be located on the Knowledge Center  under the eCMS Quarter-End and Year-End section.
  • The 2024 Year-End Processing Release Notes Q46 for Canada ONLY will be made available the week of January 6, 2025. Canadian customers will be notified for "Bonus Checks Calculations" as well as "Manitoba Claim Code BPA" changes no later than mid-December, 2024 by the CGC team.

Note:

  • The minimum supported release level for Q44, Q45, and Q46 is eCMS v.4.2 Fix Pack 3, Hot Fix 307.

Hosted Customers:

  • Q44 (Part 1) has been delivered to all TEST and PROD environments. 
  • If you require or want to schedule a specific day or time for the install, please open a ticket.
  • If we have not receive a ticket yet, we will take it that you do not need a specific day or time for the delivery.

 

  • Q45 (Part 2) is currently being delivered to all TEST and PROD environments.
  • If you require or want to schedule a specific day or time for the install, please open a ticket.
  • If you have not received a ticket, we will take it that you do not need a specific day or time for the delivery.

Enterprise Customers:

Please open a ticket to have your PROD and/or TEST environments brought up to Q44 (Part 1) and to install Q45 (Part 2) if you have not done so. 

Payroll Tax Tables

CGC offers a Payroll Tax Table Subscription Program where clients can access the most up-to-date tax table download files and instructions/support to upload them in their eCMS systems for an annual fee. The electronic PTT import files are cumulative for all federal and state/province tables and CGC notifies the PTT Program Subscribers when new tax table changes are available. 

The subscription provides the tables for Federal (US and Canada), 50 states, DC, 13 Canadian Provinces, and 3 US commonwealths. We provide notification for any updates. We provide documentation for all states on how to properly enroll employees if you expand your business to additional states. 

Our main source for US State and Federal Tax Tables changes is Walters Kluwer. We receive information for them daily and make changes to tax tables when we get the information. As soon as we have made the changes to our system, tested and completed the documentation they are posted. An announcement is then sent to all subscribers.

If you would like to subscribe, please do two things:

  1. Submit an incident, which will be used for scheduling and tracking the initial set up and helping you with the first import
  2. Submit the Subscription form: https://cgcportal.computerguidance.com/page/2/?s=Tax+Table 

The first Payroll Tax Tables (PTT) import for 2025 are now available for PTT Subscribers. Federal Canada, 13 Canadian Provinces, Federal US, and 23 US States are now all uploaded on the CGC Portal.

CGC Customer Resources

We have two important webpages/portals available to our customers:

  • The CGC Customer Support Site where clients can view, open/submit, manage and close support tickets. This newly designed site provides an intuitive interface to manage open incidents (customer support tickets). 
  • The CGC Portal/Knowledge Center is webpage where clients can view and download product related information (user guides, webinar recordings, modification user guides, release notes, etc.). In addition, CGC University schedules, hosted maintenance schedules and events can be viewed in this portal in the calendar. Customer communications and announcements are posted here in case emails get blocked or end up in spam folders. 

Product Advisory Groups

We are excited to introduce the Product Advisory Groups (PAGs) and our newly enhanced Forum, where our users can collaborate, share, discuss and vote on product development items per specific eCMS application. 

We have established a set of PAGs (see the list below) and enhanced our CGC Portal Forum tool to allow for advanced collaboration among our customers and CGC employees.

CGC customers with access to the CGC Portal can now subscribe to one, multiple or all PAGs and start collaborating with one another. You can also subscribe or unsubscribe at any time from any PAG. You have the ability to start a conversation, comment, upload/download files (PDF, Word, Excel, images), add URLs, and more. You can like or dislike a comment and get notifications of those PAG forum activities you have subscribed to. 

We have assigned CGC experts to each PAG and will be monitoring the activity.

The new Job Cost Performance Detail offers the same on-demand Job Costing data as the Job Cost Performance app with the additional breakdown of costs by Journal Entry, allowing users to see what was posted on a given date or within a date range.
02/20/2025 File Import
Import files in various formats (CSV, Excel, Fixed width, JSON) and customizable templates into forms and a growing list of other data imports. The import formats will be user customizable.
03/20/2025 Bank Rec
Import bank statements and reconcile them against AP, PR, and GL transactions. This includes automatic and manual matching of transactions.
04/17/2025 UI Customization in Invoice Register
Learn about the options to customize AP invoice entry in the Invoice Register.
05/15/2025 Grid Report Notification
Setup scheduled notifications to send data from any IDI or Advanced Analytics report via email as PDF, Excel, CSV, and XML files.
06/19/2025 Manpower Scheduler
Schedule employees, equipment and allotted material amounts for the department's projects. It ensures the employee and equipment are not scheduled more than once within the day and provides a report that shows who is working each day and on which project.
